FRA-MUC on LH Business Class

Flight LH122, FRA-MUC

12/23/2013, 09:00p-10:15p

Business Class, Seat 4C

About 40 minutes before departure time we bid goodbye and proceeded to the gate. The flight was operated by an A321 which – quite understandably – was pretty empty. As in any European business class, seats are the same than economy, with the added benefit of a blocked middle seat. Nothing fancy really, but quite understandable given how short intra-European flights are! The flight attendant was very cheery and nice. The captain announced that the flight would be around 40 minutes long. What was really impressive is that even on such a short flight LH managed to serve us a meal! A nice, tasty salad with a custard and chocolate pudding as dessert, which I had with an Erdinger beer. Absolutely brilliant, also because by the time the (extra) meal was over we were ready to land.

Our baggage was the first to be delivered and within minutes we were outside the terminal waiting for our shuttle bus to the Holiday Inn Express Munich Airport, a decent three stars hotel with an above-average breakfast.

The morning after, back to the airport for our flight to Toulouse. This time, we would sit in economy. The flight was uneventful, but it gave me the chance to sit for the very first time on an E95 plane. I must say, it felt very spacious and nice indeed! We were served beverages and a packaged and hardly memorable chocolate croissant. Within two and half hours we landed in Toulouse, were you can’t help but notice the vast array of newly-built Airbuses in a variety of liveries. A new adventure was about to start!
